My project is focusing on idea of Traditional Thai House, by
using the rule and element of what make Thai house look traditionally as the
main concept and distort the house to suit the function of each room.
There is a big difference in term of context that traditionally
is on the country side but the site we have is in the middle of the growing
city, so my project is to create the house which not feel like living in the
city by distorting the form to block certain view and allow them to see the
green, the nature, or the blue sky. For this project I try to bring nature
light to replace the artificial light to minimize of using the electricity as
the condition in the country side that their use very small amount to not use
as all.
This project for me is to change the city condition by distorting
the traditional Thai house rule and element to inform the feeling of tropical
condition in the country side.
