User: my clients are normal Thai nuclear family that rich enough to buy land in sukhumvit 38 (site). Family members are dad, mom, son and daughter so House that they going to live in can offers them comfort and make them feels living in perfect support all of the members
main things that will support them are furniture , gadgets and technology in the house more than the shape and others. So I research about activities and started to design machine that will installed and use in that house and it can support activities that going to happen.

Jom's voice: Distrotion THAI

My project is focusing on idea of Traditional Thai House, by using the rule and element of what make Thai house look traditionally as the main concept and distort the house to suit the function of each room.
There is a big difference in term of context that traditionally is on the country side but the site we have is in the middle of the growing city, so my project is to create the house which not feel like living in the city by distorting the form to block certain view and allow them to see the green, the nature, or the blue sky. For this project I try to bring nature light to replace the artificial light to minimize of using the electricity as the condition in the country side that their use very small amount to not use as all.
This project for me is to change the city condition by distorting the traditional Thai house rule and element to inform the feeling of tropical condition in the country side.

Penpen's voice : Excessive House

For this project I focused on the excessive elements which could be added to the house and somehow make the house feel comfortable to live in. I am using the existing house in the site to demonstrated that even the old abandoned house could have a feeling of warmth as same as the house, by adding the decorations and the excessive elements. There are many styles of the decorations fill in each room of the house to give different feeling within the same perspective. This is to show the impact of the decoration to our feeling. The users for my house will be considered later due to the unfinished adding the many as possible furnitures and decorations. The decoration is photoshoped in the room perspective in the different layers in order to see that how different types of elements can really effect and  attract people in different way.

From all of above are related to my every previous project which I starting from the unnecessary thing on the advertisement and also inside the Paragon hall. Then  analyze it within the the space via the user's income. And lastly is my case study which study about the excessive element in Horta hotel which create an amazingly impressive room. The Horta hotel is the great example of how the decoration which effect our feeling at the first sight. By removing all the decoration and left out only the plain room. It clearly that this hotel couldn't be a famous hotel without decorations.

Now's voice ; Escapism (relax) house

My project is focusing on city people life that busy and in a rush everyday, since daily stresses can drag anyone down, making escapism and getting away in your fantasy world of mind. My 4 users are the people that face a lot of stress and thinking all the time, whenever they come back home they will feel realief and relax, they can escape from the ugly reality that they have to face everyday. Father and mother is an architect they open the company together, they're busy, stress and lack of sleep. Chidlren are male-female twin that in a period of trying to get into university ( last year of high school). From the escapism research i've found that it comes when people see / hear / smell and stay in silent or beautiful place. From the site analysis at Sukhumvit 40 the sound of cars and traffic is very loud since the site is in the middle of Sukhumvit road. So i kind of interest about sound that maybe nature can create a relax sound for human and i found that Water ( rain sound ) can create a exactly sound frequency that suitable for human brainwaves, its help people can concentrade and relax. Then i made a research about water in architecture and water itself that it is a mirecle elements that when people getting near to / touch / drink / hear is feeling free and calm.

Kamsai's Voice: The Lazy House

Kamsai's Voice: The Lazy House

Throughout the project, I have been focusing on the idea of comfort through laziness. This family of four is extremely lazy, the father is a programmer who sits in front of the screen all day, and he rarely takes a shower. The mother is a painter who always creates mess around the house, and she is too busy to clean it. Both of their kids are still in high school, but they inherit the same habit. The family spends their free time on video game that the father developed, so they only have to move their fingers. Lazy people tend to reduce the amount of movement as much as possible, and they will find the easiest way to complete a task. Therefore, I develop substitute solution for some activities. For example, instead of using the kitchen to cook proper food, it is actually a row of refrigerators filled with frozen food, more than enough to feed the family for a week. The clients also order dinner from street restaurants in front of Soi Sukhumvit 38, delivered home by motorcycle taxi. By consuming the pre-made food directly from the package will also help reduce the amount of dishes they have to wash as well. Instead of doing the laundry, they send it out to the laundry service once a week on Sunday after they come back from the supermarket. Basically, this family rarely does things by themselves, but they find other methods to get things done although it might cost more money.

Starting from the smallest scale, I identify the main activities of the clients to determine the level of physical effort of each action. For example, taking a shower requires both upper and lower part of the body, which uses more muscle movement compared to playing video game, so it is categorized as high level of effort. In a larger scale, I arrange all activities with the same physical effort into the same area, so each space will be separated according to those levels. One area may include activities that are totally different from each other as long as they have the same physical effort, such as having the toilet in the same space as the living room. Then the arrangement of each space has to follow a system, by using the shortest distance possible from one commonly used place to another, or having the most convenient way by arranging space with similar usage near each other, such as having the kitchen near the dining table, or the garage near the storage shelves.
